Review: Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat

I love warm tones palettes. I wasn’t interested in the Naked Heat though, as I don’t like using dark shades on my eyes as an all over colour, but the Petite Heat really tickled my fancy! Did I like it as much as I hoped?

This is one hot little palette. Naked Petite Heat is a compact eyeshadow palette featuring six all-new scorched neutrals inspired by our own Naked Heat. With five matte shades for lid, crease and liner, plus one demi-matte highlighting shade, it has everything you need to create looks that range from soft and sultry to flat-out fire.

The ultra-compact packaging was made for travel and fits in your smallest purse. But don’t let its petite exterior fool you—it contains full-size pans of our legendary Eyeshadow and a mirror. Emblazoned with burning roses, this hot commodity will be your go-to palette.

Use each shade alone or pair them up with your favorite shadows to create endless sizzling eye looks. Some of our new favorites are Hot Spell, our latest terra-cotta obsession, and Strike, a rich reddish brown. Feel like totally going up in flames? Try Wild Thing, a burnt orange shade, or Heist, a rich cayenne, for extra spice. Better yet, you can use these matte shades as a base to pair with your 12-shade Naked Heat palette.

Because you deserve serious staying power and shadow that doesn’t flake or fade out on you, every shade in Naked Petite Heat contains our Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color and blendability. – Urban Decay website

This is the most information I’ve ever found about a product thus far! It even has a longer description than most skincare! So let’s break it down.  This is a really tiny palette, which I really like because it’s extremely easy for traveling. The packaging is really sturdy, it feels more metal-like and it feels really secure, this won’t break easily when you travel! The mirror is tiny, but it’s a nice mirror, and it is a good quality mirror too.

As to the shades, the concept of a “demi-matte” is ridiculous, it’s a satin/shimmery shade. Demi-matte my bum. The shades are really nice though! They flow really well and are really nice together. Even though they are all from the same brown/orange sphere, there’s enough of a difference to not look too similar.

The staying power of this palette is great. I use this in combination with the Urban Decay Potion Primer, so it should work together! They have a great staying power and my eyelook looks great the entire day when I use this palette. They blend really nicely but are buildable as well. They are quite pigmented, so I use a light hand while applying this, because it’s easier to build up than the take away. 🙂

I really love this palette! It’s perfect for travel, it has beautiful shades that work well together and it’s definitely worth it’s price. I totally recommend this tiny palette!

Have you tried any of Urban Decay’s palettes?
