Mask Monday: First Aid Beauty Red Clay Purifying Mask

I love me a good peel off mask! There’s something satisfying about peeling off a layer of skin haha! I don’t use them very often, so when I got this one in a boxset when I ordered some more First Aid Beauty I was excited to try this!

A 20-minute peel-off mask that helps purify skin, reduce the appearance of pores and control excess oil. With a potent concentration of Red Clay, this treatment mask helps purge the complexion by drawing out skin impurities.

I don’t have oily skin, but I do have a lot of blackheads due to my acne. I hate blackheads with a burning passion! Any mask that promises me to get rid of them is a miracle worker in my eyes.

It’s a funny mask, when it comes out of the tube it’s a metallic red! Once applied, it’s just a sheer red.

When I apply it, it kind of burns upon first application. Nothing too bad, but it’s noticeable, so be warned if you have sensitive skin as it may really hurt you! It goes away pretty quickly for me, and the mask dries down pretty quickly, a lot quicker than the recommended 20 minutes. Peeling this off goes really smoothly and easily, which is a great plus as some peel off masks are a true HELL to peel off!

However, this mask does nothing for my blackheads or my skin! It just looks exactly the same like it did before I applied the mask. I tried this mask many times, and every time it gave me the same results. It’s such a shame as I was so excited about this! Have you tried this mask?
