Review: Pixi Beauty Rose Tonic

20180206_105109

I’ve been trying a lot of new stuff for my rosacea. I tried to calm it down with product instead of medication (spoiler alert: I am on medication now for it and it helped so much more than anything I’ve done myself so far!). I saw this tiny toner from Pixi said to calm your skin, did it do that for me?

Naturally soothing and rich in nutrients, this tonic helps to tone, balance pH, minimize redness and calm skin. Rehydrates, replenishes and refreshes.

•Rose Hydrosol based toner that hydrates and neutralizes skin
•Normalizes hydration levels and gently removes any impurities.
•Suited for all skin types
•Not tested on animals
•Paraben free

So, I’m going to be quite short on this one! I really like the scent of this toner, but it’s very faint, so don’t worry if you are sensitive about scents. I do believe it’s suitable for all skin types as it doesn’t dry out my dry skin after using this. It does leave my skin feeling clean and it’s really great at cleaning your face after using a face wash.

However, it doesn’t do anything for me! It doesn’t calm my skin ,it doesn’t reduce my redness, not even the redness I get that isn’t because of my rosacea. I don’t really care how cute it is, nor how nice it smells, I don’t want to pay for a product that doesn’t do anything for my skin! It’s a shame, but after trying so much from Pixi Beauty and only really liking one product so far, this brand is going to be a big pass from me and I don’t think I will get anything from the brand again. It’s a shame because I hear so much about it! But if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, and no matter of wishful thinking will change that.
