Review: Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Filter

Smashbox has been a brand that I’ve been curious about for a while. It has only been in the Netherlands for about a year, and now I can finally tell you guys about my experience with this brand!

The colours in the palette are called (from left to right): vanilla, sable and sumatra. Now, to be completely honest, I didn’t expect much from these matte eyeshadows.  Not sure why I had low expectations, but I’m always skeptical of brands I have never tried before.
But, really, these are great!

As I’m whiter than moonlight, the lightest shade, vanilla, doesn’t really show up on my skin. Sorry!
But wow, are these pigmented! I only need to tap once with a brush and I’ve got enough pigment on my brush to cover 14 eyes. They feel really creamy and I am just so impressed with the colour pay off! Because they are so pigmented, I don’t recommend these for new users of makeup, because you can easily grab too much product on your brush and you’ll look a bit like a mess. Don’t be worried, it happened to me because I didn’t know how pigmented these were!

Honestly, I am so impressed by the performance of these eyeshadows! They are of better quality than my Too Faced palette. If you need a good, worth-your-money, eyeshadow palette,I totally recommend getting this one!
