Review: NYX Soft Matte Lipcream in Amsterdam

On my trip to London, we went to the NYX counter at Selfridge’s. This was the lippy that caught my eye, and funnily enough, it was called Amsterdam!

Now, this quickly became one of my favourite matte lipproducts. I am saying products, because I haven’t tried many liquid lipsticks, yet. But damn, am I impressed with this one!

The applicator is a small, but soft, doe foot applicator. There is a scent to this one, it’s quite sweet but you don’t notice it when it’s on your lips. The applicators works perfectly. It gets to every little place on your lips, without getting out of your lines. This one is fine to use without a lipliner!
It feels incredibly soft on the lips and not drying at all! That was mostly impressed me. I expected it to be drying and more… well… not this soft.

The product stays on your lips for quite some time too. It doesn’t leave a weird pigmentless line on your lips, where the product wears off. Which is always a bonus! It looks so weird when your mouth is perfectly done with lipstick, but there’s this weird line where there’s just nothing but your own lip. It stains slightly, which makes it look a bit better when it wears off.

The colour is really pretty, a coral-y pink red. Great description. It’s a really fresh colour. The time for it to dry to a matte form isn’t that long either. It goes on wet and turns dry in less than a minute.
The payoff is mostly opaque, but you might have to go over your outer lipline just to make sure it looks all nice and smooth.

To make a long story short: this is a GREAT matte lipproduct and I definitely recommend this one!
